no tolerence!

The last couple of days I have been so cranky. Todd couldn't do anything right and believe you me, he was trying. Everything annoyed me, my patience was wearing thin about every-other minute.
Poor Noah, poor Todd.
I started realizing who the common denominator was and of course...yours truly....
So I started praying about it. "Lord, I need help! What is my problem?" I thought it had to do with the fact that I am still having symptoms (could just be latch on, or rather tear-off issues from Noah) but I don't know.
I was also asking Todd about it too. "What is my deal?!"
Right after I heard that from the Lord Todd came in and said "You know, perhaps maybe because you know what you want to do and all the things you want for our new lifestyle(paraphrased) you've lost sight of what we do have and stopped being thankful."....sheesh
Ok, you got me. I didn't tell him right away that the Lord just told me the same thing but it was good to hear and then get confirmation two minutes later.
I tried hard to work on it, but I was still having a hard time. As I was working on the that I  was trying to observe if what I was eating was effecting me. too I had started adding oils back in and suspected that perhaps I was still having trouble digesting them. I took them out and today I feel like a whole new person. I have energy and patience and feel genuine love and appreciation for my family. :)
It's so crazy how food can effect/affect us so much. I truly don't even believe it. I am reminded that we are spirit soul and body....this really makes me understand how important it is for us to take good care of ourselves. Not only to just be healthy and sick-free and live a long life but for our spiritual well being as well.

de-liver me!!

OK, not really. I do need my liver, but man, going through a liver cleanse is not fun.
I think that it might be the hardest thing I've done on this whole diet. First of all, how is someone supposed to know that their liver decided to rid itself of toxins anyhow? Besides feeling horrible and having lots of gas...
I thought that things were starting to look up and I was making progress, moving forward. I even took Noah camping with my extended family. While we were there Deborah told me to speak happy thoughts to my liver. I thought it very odd that she would say that out of the blue...but she's always good at word of knowledge so I should have known something was going on right then and there.
I got home and went to the chiro and she told me that I looked yellow and should to a liver panel.
Well, she scared some of the living daylights out of me! So what do you do when the daylights are scared right out? Call your mom of course :).
She told me that I was tired (which I was) and I should go to bed....among other things. She called back later and told me that from what was going on it looked like my liver decided to clean house......speaking of cleaning house, I didn't clean the house for a week. My poor husband. ;)
So that was an adventure, I was so out of energy and couldn't eat any fats. And hardly any meat, I ate a  lot of eggs. I guess when your liver does it's thing you should eat very lightly so all your energies aren't taken up digesting. We watched movies and slept (Noah and I)
Once I found out what was really going on I felt quite encouraged. Your liver is one of the last things to detox (so I hear). So alas I think I must be close(I sure hope so).
I have had remarkable energy and feel as though I could do anything. I've been doing exercises and feel like I have lots of strength. I thought that I had really gotten weak. I guess I was just working through all kinds of toxins before because I found there is strength under my flab :).
Today has been a bit discouraging because there is still burning in my nipple. Sometimes I don't feel anything and sometimes it's stronger. I shouldn't be feeling any symptoms by now!!
I had a talk with the Lord about it and I feel like He said He was going to heal me. So I am eagerly awaiting my full healing :). Co-laboring you know.  I felt like He told me in the beginning that I was to walk out my healing, I am a changed woman! Now, I think He is going to heal me :)
You all can believe with me.
love you all!

little breakthrough

A few weeks ago we went down south to Villa Park to visit Todd's family for some down time. It was nice to get away from regular life but I had underestimated the amount of time I spend in the kitchen preparing and eating food! Plus being on vacation with a little one is a lot different than when it was just the two of us. We had some sorting out to do as far as letting each-other have times of rest while one would take Noah. We had some good communicating about all that :).
It's so weird to think of life before The Noodle, I can hardly remember, and it was only eight months ago...well kind of ;) I wouldn't change a thing though, we are very blessed.
Anyhow, I had a little breakthrough while we were there with the diet. Todd's parents offered to stay home with Noah while she napped so that Todd and I could go for a little hike together. I've been so weak lately Todd promised to walk slow if I needed him to. As we were going up the hill I felt a burn in all my muscles. Of course I've felt "the burn" before but this time it really felt good. You always hear that "feel the burn!" well, I would always push through that feeling because it wasn't a good one, but I had nothing to compare it to. This time, it felt so good to just keep moving onward upward faster and faster. I could hear Todd next to me struggling for breath, I told him "I could go faster!" he encouraged me to do so and I speed walked up the rest of the hill. It felt so good and when I got to the top I got a high. I couldn't believe how good I felt, I was a bit shaky because I hadn't been used to that kind of exercise in a long time, but man, it felt good. I haven't felt like that in years! Even when I was running very regularly for a year or so I didn't feel that good. I think the last time I felt like that was when I was a little kid, I can't wait to be able to feel that way a lot more often!
